What You Seek Is You - ALi YUSUF

1.100$
What You Seek Is You is a contemporary Persian calligraphy painting inspired by the profound idea that what we seek outside ourselves may already exist within us. The artwork features the Persian verse «هر چیز که در جستن آنی، آنی», meaning “What you seek is you.” Through bold calligraphic forms, layered colour and a carefully structured composition, the work transforms a philosophical idea into a contemporary visual experience. The combination of Persian calligraphy, geometric structure and rich colour creates a dialogue between traditional cultural heritage and modern visual language. Influenced by Art Deco and Color Field painting, the work balances rhythm, symmetry and expressive colour while maintaining the distinctive character of Persian script. Created in 2026, What You Seek Is You is a unique, one-of-a-kind acrylic painting on canvas, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. .Shipped Rolled (Unframed) .Can Also Be Shipped Framed Upon Request (Framing and Shipping Costs Will Be Added)

Ali Yusuf is a contemporary painter and mixed-media artist based in Turkey, whose practice explores identity, emotion, cultural memory, luxury, and the relationship between contemporary visual culture and traditional craftsmanship. Working primarily with acrylic paint, printed imagery, gold leaf, crystals, stones, beads, and other tactile materials, Yusuf transforms layered surfaces into highly detailed, contemporary artworks. His process combines painting and material intervention, creating a dialogue between image, texture, light, and physical presence. His work moves between contemporary abstraction, portraiture, symbolism, and cultural references, often using familiar imagery to explore deeper ideas of identity, femininity, memory, strength, and modern life. With more than 15 years of independent studio practice, Yusuf develops each work through a meticulous, hands-on process. His artworks are created as unique or limited-edition pieces, individually finished, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
